Is Echo free?
Yes. The core app and included voices and effects are free to use. An optional Pro plan unlocks expanded features such as importing custom AI voice models. Your current regional price is always shown before checkout.
How does it work?
Echo processes your microphone on your device, then sends the changed audio through a virtual audio cable. Select that cable as the microphone in Discord, a game, OBS, or another voice app.

Echo works with apps that let you select a microphone input, including Discord, games, OBS, streaming tools, and calling apps. Echo Live itself is available for 64-bit Windows and Apple Silicon Macs.
Technical
Does Echo Live support text to speech and character voices?
Yes. The desktop app generates high-quality speech with Kokoro or Supertonic and applies RVC voice conversion to make it sound like your chosen character. Any character voice with a compatible RVC model is supported. Use included voices or import custom models with Echo Live Pro, then export WAV audio or save it to the Soundboard. Speech generation and voice conversion run locally on your computer.
What are the system requirements?
Echo Live requires 64-bit Windows 10 or later, or an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later. Intel Macs are not currently supported. AI voices run best with modern hardware; lighter real-time effects can work on more modest systems.
Does it support GPU acceleration?
Yes. Echo supports DirectML (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel GPUs on Windows) and CoreML (Apple Silicon on macOS) for faster voice processing.
What is RVC?
RVC (Retrieval-based Voice Conversion) is an AI technique that converts one voice into another in real-time. Unlike traditional pitch shifters, RVC produces natural-sounding results by learning the characteristics of a target voice from training data.
Can I use custom voice models?
Yes, with Echo Live Pro. You can import compatible RVC voice models or use voices shared by the community. Free users can use the included voice library and real-time effects.
What is the latency?
Echo Live is designed for real-time use. Total end-to-end latency depends on your buffer configuration and hardware. The app includes Performance Presets (Ultra Low to CPU Safe) that let you tune the balance between latency and stability for your setup.
Safety & Privacy
Is voice changing safe?
Echo is a standalone audio app: it changes microphone audio without modifying game files or injecting code into other apps. Use voice effects responsibly and do not use them to impersonate, deceive, or harass people.
Will I get banned for using a voice changer?
Echo does not modify games, but no app can guarantee how every platform will enforce its rules. Follow the terms and community guidelines of the game or service you are using.
Is my voice data sent to any servers?
Live microphone processing happens on your device. Echo still connects to online services for features such as accounts, purchases, updates, and product health. Sharing a Voice Lab effect with the community uploads its small settings file, not a recording of your microphone.
