Do I need an account?
No — open the page and start. Anything you save (history, favorites, downloads) stays in this browser.
Does the Echo app have text to speech?
Yes. Echo Live for Windows and macOS generates high-quality speech with Kokoro or Supertonic, then uses RVC voice conversion to give it your chosen character voice. Any character voice with a compatible RVC model is supported. Export a WAV or save the result to the Soundboard.
Can I turn text into any character voice?
Yes, in the Echo Live desktop app. Choose an included RVC voice or import a compatible character model with Echo Live Pro. Generate speech with Kokoro or Supertonic and apply that voice in the same app. The browser tool has its own selection of narrators and models.
Does my text leave my device?
No. Synthesis runs in the browser (WebAssembly / WebGPU). After the model downloads once, you can go offline and keep generating.
Which models are available?
Kokoro for natural English speech, Piper for speed and broad language support, Pocket TTS for characters and cloning, and KittenTTS for a small download that runs on almost anything.
What do I need?
A desktop browser is best. Smaller models are fine on CPU; heavier ones prefer WebGPU. On phone, use the Echo iOS or Android app.
Can I download the audio?
Yes — WAV export on every clip, no watermark. You can also drop generations into a local collection.
