How to Use Echo Live with OBS Studio

Step 1

Choose Your Voice in Echo Live

Install Echo Live, select your normal microphone, then choose an AI voice or voice effect. Start the live audio and listen briefly in Echo before opening OBS.

Step 2

Add Echo as an Audio Input Capture

In your OBS scene, add an Audio Input Capture source and select the Echo virtual microphone. Give it a clear name, such as Echo Voice, so you can find it quickly in the Audio Mixer.

Step 3

Remove the Duplicate Mic and Test

If your physical microphone is also selected under Settings > Audio or added as another source, disable or mute that route. Record a short test with speech, game audio, and one soundboard clip before you go live.

OBS filters help a microphone sit correctly in the mix. Use them for jobs such as noise suppression, gain, compression, or limiting. Echo Live changes the voice before OBS receives it. Fix Double Voice, Echo, or Delay in OBS

If viewers hear your normal voice and changed voice together, OBS is capturing two microphone routes. Keep Echo as the active Audio Input Capture source and disable the same microphone under Settings > Audio or mute its separate source. If you hear your own voice late, check Audio Monitoring for the Echo source before changing sync settings. Then record a short test with game audio, speech, and one soundboard clip. Fix levels first; only adjust sync after you can reproduce a timing problem.
