Soundboard FAQ
How does a soundboard work with voice chat?
Echo Live's soundboard plays each sound to your normal output so you can hear it. When a supported virtual audio cable is configured, Echo also sends the clip there. Select that virtual cable as your microphone in Discord, your game, or your streaming app so everyone else can hear the sound.
Can I add my own sound effects?
Yes. Echo Live's soundboard imports WAV, MP3, OGG, and FLAC files. Add clips you created or have permission to use, place them on one or more boards, and assign hotkeys for live playback.
Can I use the soundboard and voice changer at the same time?
Yes. Soundboard playback runs alongside EchoRVC voice conversion and Voice Lab effects, so you can keep a changed voice active while triggering sound clips. The clips are played as their own audio; they are not passed through the active voice model or effect chain.
Does the soundboard delay my voice?
The soundboard uses a separate playback path, so triggering a clip does not pause or restart live voice conversion. The exact timing you hear can still depend on your audio device, virtual cable, and the app receiving the signal, so test your setup before a call or stream.
Is Echo Live's soundboard free?
Yes. The soundboard is included with the free Echo Live download. You can import your own supported audio files, organize boards, set per-sound hotkeys, and use the soundboard alongside the voice changer.
Where can I find sounds for my board?
You can browse and play sounds on Soundboard.pro, then use audio you created or are allowed to download in Echo Live's soundboard. Direct Soundboard.pro import and managed boards are planned integrations, not current Echo Live features.
Which audio files can I use?
Echo Live imports WAV, MP3, OGG, and FLAC files. Short clips are usually easier to trigger and manage during a live conversation, but the best format and length depend on what you want the sound to do.
Does Echo Live include any sounds?
