How does the bass booster work?
The bass booster uses a low-shelf BiquadFilter from the Web Audio API to amplify all frequencies below your chosen cutoff point. A low-shelf filter boosts everything below the cutoff while leaving mid and high frequencies untouched. A built-in limiter (DynamicsCompressor) prevents clipping at high boost levels.
Will bass boosting distort my audio?
Moderate boost (6–12 dB) sounds clean and natural. Higher settings (18–24 dB) can push levels near clipping, but the automatic limiter catches peaks and prevents audible distortion. If the original audio is already very loud, consider using lower boost values or normalizing first.
What is the difference between sub-bass and mid-bass?
