Helium Voice Changer

Get the ridiculous high balloon voice—without touching the actual gas.

The Balloon Voice Without the Balloon

Helium launches your live microphone into the instantly recognizable high, floaty voice people associate with party balloons. Drop it into a Discord call, game lobby, stream reaction, or short comedy bit whenever normal speech is far too sensible.

Echo creates the effect digitally, so there is no reason to inhale helium. Select Echo as your microphone in the app you use and the squeaky transformation follows whatever you say in real time.

Party games and Discord comedy.
Live reactions and stream characters.
Squeaky singing and voice memes.
High-pitched character moments without using gas.

Helium or Chipmunk Voice?

Helium is the more extreme balloon voice: very high, light, and deliberately ridiculous. Chipmunk feels more like a tiny cartoon character, while Baby and Little Kid aim for younger character voices instead of a party effect.

For an uploaded recording, Echo’s online voice changer is the faster route. Use Echo Live when you want the Helium voice on your microphone throughout a game, call, or stream.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is Helium different from Chipmunk?

Helium goes higher and sounds floatier — like you actually inhaled helium. Chipmunk is the classic cartoon squeak, Helium is the extreme balloon version.

Can people still understand me?

Yes, but just barely — and that is part of the comedy. Your words come through but sound absolutely ridiculous.

Does the Helium voice work on Twitch?

Yes. Echo Live works with OBS and any streaming software. Set Echo Live as your mic input in OBS and your stream audience hears the helium voice live.

Does the helium voice changer work on Discord?

Yes. Choose Echo as your Discord input device and the high-pitched voice is heard live in calls.

Do I need to inhale helium?

No. Echo recreates the familiar balloon-voice effect digitally. Do not inhale helium to change your voice.

Can I make a helium voice online?

Yes. Echo’s online voice changer can transform a recorded or uploaded clip. Download Echo Live when you want the effect on your microphone in real time.
