AI Voice Conversion for Microsoft Teams

Echo is a free voice changer for Microsoft Teams that uses AI voice changer technology to change how you sound during meetings, calls, and webinars. Teams is the default communication platform for millions of businesses and schools — and Echo integrates seamlessly without any Teams plugin or admin configuration. It uses RVC technology, a neural network that reconstructs your voice as a different person rather than applying a robotic effect. Audio processing runs 100% locally on your device in real-time, meaning your voice never leaves your computer. This makes it suitable for privacy-sensitive enterprise environments where cloud processing of audio would be unacceptable.

Features

Why Teams Users Choose Echo

🏢

Enterprise Compatible

No Teams plugin, no marketplace app, no admin approval needed. Echo is a standard audio device that appears as a regular microphone. Works with Teams Free, Microsoft 365 Business, and Enterprise E5 plans.

On-Device Privacy

All audio processing happens on your computer — no audio is sent to any external server. For organizations with strict data handling policies, this is critical. Your voice data stays within your device at all times.

Seamless Conversations

Real-time processing ensures zero delay in meetings. Team discussions, presentations, and brainstorming sessions flow naturally. Other participants cannot detect any timing difference from normal speech.

Office Audio Cleanup

Working from home? The built-in noise gate eliminates background sounds — children, pets, doorbells, coffee machines. The compressor keeps your volume steady whether you are leaning into the mic or sitting back.

Voice Models

Voice Models for Teams

Echo supports any .pth voice model from the RVC community. For business meetings, subtle voice modifications work best — a professional-sounding voice that is simply different from your natural one. For casual team calls, more dramatic voice changes add fun to standup meetings and team socials. Our voice model guide explains how to find and import models for any use case.

How AI Voice Technology Works in Teams Meetings

Standard voice changers apply pitch shifting effects that sound immediately artificial — unsuitable for any professional context. Echo uses RVC voice conversion, an AI voice changer technology powered by deep learning. The neural network extracts your speech content and reconstructs it using a trained voice model. Your speaking style, emphasis, and professional tone are preserved — only the voice identity changes. The output sounds like a natural human voice, not a processed effect. For Microsoft Teams users, the key advantage is that this technology is entirely local. In enterprise environments where audio data cannot leave the corporate network, Echo is compliant by design — it does not transmit audio anywhere. Combined with the zero-latency processing, it integrates into Teams workflows without disrupting meeting productivity.

FAQ

Microsoft Teams Voice Changer FAQ

Is Echo free for Microsoft Teams?

Yes, completely free during the beta. Works with all Teams plans — Free, Microsoft 365 Personal, Business, and Enterprise. No credit card or trial period.

Does it require Teams admin approval?

No. Echo is a standard desktop application that installs a virtual microphone. It is not a Teams app or plugin — it does not appear in the Teams App Store. It shows up as a regular microphone in Teams device settings. Follow your organization's software installation policies.

Is my audio data kept private?
Yes. All voice processing happens on your local device. No audio is transmitted to Echo servers or any third party. This is architecturally different from cloud-based voice changers — your data never leaves your computer.
Does it add delay to Teams meetings?
No. Audio processing completes in real-time, which is imperceptible. Your meetings flow naturally with the same timing as using a regular microphone.
Does it work with Teams on Mac?
Yes. Echo supports macOS. In Teams on Mac, go to Settings → Devices → Microphone and select "Echo". Works with both the native Mac app and the web browser version.
